175 Double Wicket Cricket at PPC Newlands [Sunday, 31/01/16]

A six-a-side festival in which the two ‘icons’ from each of the competing schools will team up with current members of the 1st XI of their alma mater in what will comprise eight-man squads (2 x icons & 6 x schoolboys) will take place this coming Sunday at PPC Newlands cricket ground. This festival forms part of the Wynberg Boys High 175th celebrations.

 09:00-09:45: WBHS v SACS

09:45-10:30: Bishops v Rondebosch

10:30-11:15: Paarl Boys’ v Paul Roos

11:15-12:00: Grey High v Newlands Cricket School

12:00-13:00: Lunch & Mini-cricket (hosted by WBJS)

13:00-13:45: Bishops v Paul Roos

13:45-14:30: Rondebosch v SACS

14:30-15:15: Paarl Boys’ v Newlands Cricket School

15:15-16:00: WBHS v Grey High

16:15-17:00: Final

Friends and families; old boys and friends of the school are welcome to join the day’s entertainment. There‘ll be off-field entertainment as well as food stalls in operation throughout the day. Spectators are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets too. Admission is R20 per person. Players and officials need not pay to enter the ground.
